I recently posted a whale splash tutorial using thinking particles 6.2 Hydrofield node.
Here it is :

I was recently given opportunity to do Interview on Thinking Particles 6.2 which I used in various recent projects. It has become my choice of fluid simulation inside 3ds max. You can read full Interview on cebas website. I hope you will find it useful. And I will post tutorials on doing fluid simulations using Thinking Particles 6.2 soon.
Here is the link to Interview : http://cebas.com/index.php?pid=testimonial&tid=113
I was contacted by Artificial Reality CGI Studio to do fluid simulation for their Jaquar RingShower and BucketShower animation, few months back. I used Thinking Particles 6 to do fluid simulation and meshing was done with Frost and final output was given in XMesh file by caching Frost Mesh to disk.

Thinking Particles 6 also offers shallow water or ocean surface simulation using HydroField and also its HydroBoat operator to simulate water based vehicle. Here I made a new simple test of Motorboat using HydroField and HydroBoat. I generated only Splash and Foam particles in a test, We can also generate Spray particles.

It’s been long time since I posted here. Cebas has released new version of Thinking Particles 6 which now supports multiphysics dynamics. It also has now SPH based fluid simulation support. Here is my Beer RnD test with Thinking Particles 6 Flowsolver. I rendered out using iRay and you can download sample max scene file and TP6 .thi setup/blackbox file from this link.

In this video, I talk about using glu3d gpu inside 3dsmax 2014 and also I was able to do 6.2 millions particles simulation using glu3d gpu which wasn’t working before. I am using nvidia driver version 310.90 which seems to work best for glu3d gpu.
